RACE2HELL.COM
A call, an idea for a website and building a new brand. This project shows a lot of my mainskills.

To built up a new brand from zero takes a lot of time and patience and a client who is opened for ideas and interested in the look and feel of his project. Usually everything starts with a good logo. In my case there was already one a realization but it was not really dynamic and did not really fit into the world I wanted to create.
So I asked to redesign the logo and also to add a sub line. Just for better understanding we took the ".com" also in the lettering. Afterwards there was the idea to create a fine small sign. Something to remember.
In the old concept of the logo there was a devil girl included. I redesigned her shaped a little bit her body and gave her the flames in the background. So we could use her wherever we have space for some fun. The third step was the Logo for the Race-Cup. I thought about the name Gladiator. Sharp edges and a tight Initial, thats what we thought it should look like. The result was a nice emblem which is used with and without letters.

Second and biggest step was the Website. I mixed the ideas of the flames and the purity of the most common social networks. The combination was really hard to realize. I had to create over 40 or 50 pages for the programming. After this the project polished a lot of my web-graphic skills. It was amazing to see how a simple idea started growing and entering the web. On Picture 2 and 3 you can see how clean everything looks. But it still has a touch of racing and burning. The solution with a little bit chrome, flames and clearness was exactly where we wanted to go.

For the Race Cup I created a lot of different Bike-designs. Every driver is now free to choose how his bike should look like. We also created some paint-shops especially for the riders of race2hell.com. Designing a bike was quite new for me. I created some designs for cars and also won somas prices for them but a bike is totally different. There is not really much space for some big design. So I stared, I think two days, just how are the lines of a modern race bike are running. What was the reason for designing a seat like a sharp knife and a windshield like a penguin. After a few tries I found out how it has to be. The answer was easy, the sharper the design is, the better are bikes looking.

Some of the riders asked me for a trailer-design. Here is the nicest one. It was really much fun to create such a big movable wall which is on all racetracks and streets all around europe. The quality of the print got amazing. In the beginning I thought I have to improvise but as I saw all these great photos it was just a question of what and not of how. Sure I took some flames and red sky. Especially the small flames on the knee are making me every time laughing.

The last step was the merchandising. First we started a partnership with a austrian Race suit Company. It was very interesting to design this suit. The special point was I just had some hours to do it. The result is really good, much better as I thought for my first race suit. Picture 2 and 3 are soccer shirts, for a sponsored soccer team. Later we created out of them some typical shirts for the everyday user. Next year everyone can purchase them on the website. The final steps were the typical merchandising object like lighters, beachflags, banners and so on.
